Host Atherton Town Council Candidates Forum
ACIL and the League of Women Voters will hold a Forum at 7 PM on 30 September at the Pavilion at Holbrook- Palmer Park for the four candidates who are running for three Town Council seats. Each candidate will be asked to submit a 500 word candidate’s statement and answers to a number of specific questions in advance. These positions statements and answers will be posted in advance of the forum on the web and will also be distributed to attendees at the forum.
During the forum each candidate will be given the opportunity to make an opening statement. Following these statements questions which have been submitted by the attendees will be consolidated and asked of the candidates.
Atherton Civic Interest League
A not-for-profit grassroots organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Atherton, to assure effective Town governance and to advance the Civic Interests of its residents. Founded in 1946, the ACIL is a non-partisan organization representing the civic interests of all residents.
League of Women Voters
The League of Women Voters of South San Mateo County serve the people of Atherton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, Redwood City, and Woodside
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan citizen organization which educates voters, studies and acts on important issues, trains members for leadership roles, and provides information on candidates.
